Rise Accounting is an accounting firm in Brisbane. In this Privacy Policy, 'Rise Accounting', 'we', 'us' and 'our' refers to any entity owned or controlled by Rise Accounting. Rise Accounting is committed to providing you with the highest quality professional service whilst also protecting your privacy. Rise Accounting abides by the Australian Privacy Principles established under the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012 and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act). This Privacy Policy outlines how Rise Accounting handles personal information. This Privacy Policy does not apply to personal information collected by Rise Accounting that is exempted under the Privacy Act, for example, employee records. Rise Accounting may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect its current privacy practices.


COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION


When you use our Products pr Website, you may be asked for personally identifiable information such as your name, email address and telephone number. By giving us such information, you'll need to consent by using it in the manner described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us at hello@risea.com.au. We'll return or destroy your personal information within five days of receit of your withdrawl of your consent.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may take your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.


COLLECTION OF SOLICITED PERSONAL INFORMATION


The primary purpose we collect personal information from you is to provide you with an accounting or business advisory service. We may also use or disclose the personal information for another purpose such as to inform you of relevant updates and changes in accounting or other practices that may affect you or your business and to invite you to events that may interest you or to satisfy our Australian Taxation Office obligations.
Our ability to provide you with a comprehensive service is dependent on us obtaining certain personal information. This might include:

  • date of birth and gender

  • bank account details

  • employment details and employment history

  • current and prospective financial circumstances, including assets and liabilities, income, expenditure, investments, insurance cover and superannuation

  • documentation used for identification and verification purposes. Personal information includes 'sensitive information' (as defined in the Privacy Act) such as your Tax File Number, professional memberships and health information.

 

If you do not provide us with the requested information, we may not be able to provide you with the accounting or business advisory service. In some cases, it may be possible for you to provide us with some but not other personal information. You can ask us if this is possible before providing us with your instructions.

Rise Accounting holds personal information in hard copy and electronic formats.

AUTOMATIC COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION


Cookies, web beacons and other technologies are used by Rise Accounting and its service providers on some Rise Accounting websites and through email to automatically collect certain types of information. The collection of this information allows us to customise your online experience, improve the performance, usability and effectiveness of Rise Accounting's online presence and measure the effectiveness of our marketing activities.

Where Rise Accounting determines, acting reasonably, that your personal information is no longer needed for our function or the services we provide, we will permanently delete or de-identify that information. Where Rise Accounting receives unsolicited personal information, it will destroy or de-identify that unsolicited personal information.
